Tara Bogart, DDS, is a periodontics specialist with 30 years of experience serving patients at Dr. James Jacobs & Dr. Tara Bogart in Midtown West, Manhattan, and throughout the New York City metro area.
Dr. Bogart began her career pursuits at the NYU College of Dentistry in New York City. She excelled in the program and received the Samuel Charles Miller Award, an honor given to the senior dental student achieving the highest degree of knowledge and skill in the field of periodontology.
Following graduation, Dr. Bogart remained at NYU and earned her Certificate in Periodontics. During this time, she was selected to participate in the first post-graduate two-year implant dentistry program offered in the United States. This program allowed her to earn a Certificate in Implant Dentistry, also from NYU. Dr. Bogart was then appointed an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Implant Dentistry at NYU, where she was on staff for over 10 years.
Dr. Bogart has served patients of all ages at her private implant dentistry and periodontics practice for 30 years. She’s passionate about providing individualized patient-centered care and uses cutting-edge technologies in a caring, warm environment.
When she isn’t meeting with patients and developing individualized treatment plans, Dr. Bogart is passionate about advancing her skills and keeping up with the science and technology relating to the periodontal field. She regularly participates in continuing education courses. Dr. Bogart proudly holds membership in the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Periodontology, Academy of Osseointegration, the New York State Dental Association, and the Northeastern Society of Periodontists.
Outside the office, Dr. Bogart is a self-proclaimed minivan mom. Along with her husband, she has three children and has made their growth and education a top priority. Over the years, she has volunteered and participated in many PTA activities. She enjoys gardening, reading, bike riding, and walking on the beach and boardwalk.
